Rising to the third floor of Dubai Mall, the aquarium is among the city’s most popular attractions, enjoyed by adults and children alike. It is home to 140 species of sea life and offers many incredible ways to experience the underwater world. Stroll through a 48-metre tunnel, with the aquarium enveloping you from overhead and around. It’s a complete fish-eye view, with sand tiger sharks and stingrays swimming overhead.
You can also take a glass-bottom boat tour, have a mermaid makeover, get wet in a snorkelling cage and even don an oxygen tank to go swimming with the sharks. The zoo portion of the facility has a surprising range of animals, including 'King Croc', weighing an incredible 750kgs and measuring over 5 metres long.
If you want to get up close and personal with the aquatic creatures in the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, you can pick from a variety of passes where the cost depends on which experiences are offered. Tickets start from AED199 on weekdays or AED209 Friday to Sunday, with the Ultimate Experience costing AED299 per person. You can purchase your tickets at the counter, or skip the line completely by buying these online in advance.
You can book your tickets directly via Visit Dubai, currently at a discounted rate, or go to the official website to plan ahead and choose from the full range of packages.
